Beta Chapter of Northern Virginia stood up on 6 September 2014 with its first active Chapter meeting held on 13 September 2014 at Brother Gryphon's house in Woodbridge, VA. At that time, Beta Chapter President Steven "Gryphon" Peoples, United States Air National Guard Senior Non-Commissioned Officer and Seven Sons of the First Born NL-Alpha, led this small group into existence.

Growth & Resilience

The Fraternity as well as the Chapter has experienced the pitfalls of attrition in relation to building the brand. Through time we have enabled ourselves to understand our demographic footprint as we continue to discuss strategies to establish a presence in the surrounding communities through outreach and volunteering opportunities.

Within our first 90 days, we had engaged in more than 12 participative activities and events from Maryland down to South Carolina — covering a local clothing drive campaign, a joint area initiation crossing weekend, and a food drive for the homeless, all in the same weekend.

Moving forward, we continue to align ourselves with the Organization's Mission Statement and Vision, working towards Making other Noble Kappas (M.O.N.K.) and serving communities across the DMV area through mentorship, selfless service, and recruitment.
